Mobile Monopoly – Internet Marketing Hype Alive and Well!

I am ashamed of myself, fell for the Mobile Monopoly hype! I got caught again and cannot believe it. I have been wondering whether to look into mobile marketing for a while, after all I own and use a smart phone myself and am aware that mobile internet is taking off in a huge way. However I still cannot believe I got sucked into another follow up offer page hype. I’ll warn you, this is a slight rant, but I do feel strongly. The latest product called Mobile Monopoly has been hyped and emailed to just about every list going so I have seen it several times. I finally decided to have a look at the sales page for Mobile Monopoly and at $77 after a bit of internal debate thought it may just be worth a look and ok I knew there would be some sort of follow up offer page but to then be greeted with a page saying that it needed hundreds of dollars spent on mobile web page creation unless I took the follow up offer, well I blew my top and requested a refund without even looking at the product.

If anyone has better experience of Mobile Monopoly and has actually got past the follow up or has taken both options and thinks it worthwhile then fair enough and I would be interested with your comments, but I’m afraid this particular marketer has lost me forever. Just too much hype to be greeted with that on the follow up page.

Clickbank – a good resource but difficult for new entrants

Hello,

Many of you will be using Clickbank I’m sure, and for anyone with an established business it is a great resource.

However, one thing that new entrants may not be aware of, and is seldom publicised is that it is difficult to get paid in the early days. For instance Clickbank require you get paid by no less than 5 different (different people that is!) credit card transactions before you get your first payment. As many people use Paypal (which doesn’t count) it can take a surprisingly long time before you get paid the first time. I’m sure they have their reasons but I would have thought a simple threshhold of earnings before payment would be enough but this way you can end up being owed hundreds of dollars before you get paid.

Another reason to consider PayDotCom as an option I think.

Clickbank HopAd Builder

Just found another new Clickbank option called HopAd Builder, it’s another way to display multiple Clickbank products on your website. While I will still be using Clickbank Ad Rotator this will be another different display which will help to make my website look a bit different. Clickbank Hoplink Shield

Hello, another quick post, this time to let you know of a change in Clickbank which should help everyone protect their clickbank affiliate links. It’s called ‘Hoplink Shield’ and is a new option from Clickbank. The link is here: https://www.clickbank.com/hoplink_encoding.htm
Previously it was possible for people to intercept your affiliate link and add their own, admittedly there were ways to protect against that but for many people it was easier to just leave the links as they were and hope for the best. This is now an easy way to protect when you first set up your affiliate links.
